“I am blown away by your DKO “Quench!” CD but you’ve really topped yourself with “In The Now”! Wow, great writing, incredible performances and kudos to the production as it is 1st rate and very creative. There are so many highlights, I can’t say enough about it. This is the next Tower of Power, Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, and Cold Blood rolled into one. 10 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Includes all content from my class syllabus “How To Produce Your Own CD” which I created while teaching as part of the Jazz Faculty at University of Denver 2002-2012

I’m excited to share this updated content with you because it was created, and continues to be honed from my personal grassroots recording experience. My first attempt at recording actually started in middle school with a Tascam 4-track recorder, then developed as I created audition tapes in high school, but it really began professionally in 1994 with my debut CD project while living and working in Las Vegas. These particular lesson videos will describe the process of writing and arranging original songs, recording/mixing/mastering them in a variety of ways including pro studio, home studio, and hotel rooms on the road, designing your own cd graphics, getting physical CDs pressed, and selling digital downloads on your own website (and all major online stores like iTunes). I’m very proud of the 5 DKO CDs I’ve produced and financed myself over the past 18 yrs. Nevertheless, I’m always writing and recording new material and plan to release a new single each month in 2016 – You should too!
